Shady Knoll Receives Recognition from First Selectwoman Drugonis During Nursing Home Week
SEYMOUR, CT – On Wednesday, May 15, First Selectwoman Annmarie Drugonis visited Shady Knoll Health Center to celebrate National Skilled Nursing Care Week, which ran from May 12 – May 18, 2024. The week honors the dedication and commitment of all healthcare workers across the skilled nursing industry and celebrates the residents who reside in the centers.
First Selectwoman Drugonis presented the staff and residents with an official proclamation from the Town of Seymour congratulating Shady Knoll for the work the staff do daily to support our residents as well as recognizing the quality care given at the center.
Administrator Elza Augustin at Shady Knoll accepted the proclamation on behalf of all the staff and residents.
First Selectwoman Drugonis said in the proclamation, “the employees of Shady Knoll work tirelessly to enhance and deliver compassionate care to the lives of the residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being each and every day; and, whereas the resilience, empathy and professionalism demonstrated by our skilled nursing staff embody the true spirit of caregiving, enriching the lives of those they serve with dignity and respect.”
