Update from Administrator – December 2, 2020

December 2, 2020
Dear Families and Friends,

As always, our team and I hope this email finds you safe and healthy.

Since last week some additional staff have tested positive for covid-19. However, no new residents are positive. Also, some of the residents who were positive have recovered and are being moved off of the covid unit Although this news is encouraging. please be assured that we continue to make every effort to contain the spread. We have also started testing all of our staff twice a week. Residents continue with a single weekly test. Some of the measures we have taken include the following. We have grouped all positive residents on the same unit All staff on that unit are designated to work on that unit only. We have ample Personal Protective Equipment in use such as gloves, face shields, gowns, and masks. We also had a visit from Dept. of Public Health inspectors who offered advice and assistance but found that our response to this outbreak was appropriate.

We are reminding our staff to not only practice safeguards against covid in our center, but to be vigilant outside of our center and share these practices with their friends and loved ones. We still ask you to do your part while in your community and please wear your mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance. And please promote these very simple precautions with your extended family and friends.

Please call us if you have any concerns or questions about your loved ones. As previously announced, all patio and indoor visits have been suspended. Virtual visits continue as usual. As always, our entire team thanks you for your patience.

Our Zoom Meeting is Today at 4pm.
